Lifetime Limited Warranty

Empire Pacific Industries (EPI) warrants it will repair or replace at its option any EPI window that is defective in materials or workmanship for the life of the home. EPI warrants that the original sealed units in the EPI windows in your single family, owner occupied dwelling will be free from defects in materials or workmanship that would cause an obstruction of view due to dust or moisture. Should a unit fail, EPI will supply a replacement, insulated unit. The warranty described in this paragraph shall be IN LIEU OF any other warranty, express or implied, including, but not limited to, any implied WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY or fitness for a particular purpose. There are no warranties that extend beyond the description on the face hereof. Any claims of breach of warranty shall be deemed waived unless presented in writing to EPI within 60 days from date of delivery to the original buyer.

The parties agree that the homeowner's sole and exclusive remedy against EPI shall be for the repair or replacement of defective parts as provided herein. The homeowner agrees that no other remedy including, but not limited to, property damage, or any other incidental or consequential damages shall be available to the homeowner.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not be applicable to you.

This lifetime limited warranty is extended solely and exclusively to the original homeowner and cannot be assigned or transferred. Also, this warranty does not apply to:
  1. Seal failures incidental to Glass breakage.
  2. Seal failures incidental to lack of maintenance and/or cleaning of drainage system.
  3. Units that have not been installed properly and/or are not installed according to EPI glazing instructions.
  4. Units installed in high moisture environments.
  5. Units installed in slope glazing.
  6. Damages caused by misuse, or acts of nature including fire, flood and earthquake.
  7. Shipping and/or labor outside of the published and active trade area serviced by EPI.
 This warranty gives you specified legal rights and you may also have other rights that vary form state to state. Service under this warranty can be obtained by contacting or writing your nearest EPI Office.

If the registration Card has not been returned, proof of original ownership or purchase may be required.
  1. EPI reserves the right to discontinue or change any window or door it manufacturers. If the part or component of the window or door originally installed is not available and EPI determines to make replacement, EPI shall have the right to substitute such part or component designed by EPI to be of equal quality and price. Color matching of tinted, coated, glass or vinyl is not guaranteed.
  2. This lifetime limited warranty is voided by the use of applied tints or film.
  3. This lifetime limited warranty is voided by any alterations to the window including customer-applied paint finishes.
  4. This lifetime limited warranty does not cover insulated glass units sold separately from complete windows or doors.
Homeowners Responsibility for Maintenance and Care
  • Check for and remove all dust, dirt, paint and plaster before using.
  • Keep all weep and drainage holes free of dirt, sand and other materials.
  • Keep the sill clean at all times (the crevice attachment to your vacuum cleaner does an excellent job)
  • To clean, use a mild soap and warm water. After drying, a thin coat of liquid wax applied to aluminum window parts will add to their beauty. (Do not wax vinyl windows.)
The above warranty does not apply to materials not paid for in full.
